JP Dominoes Scorekeeper (formerly Tranque) is a scorekeeper for Dominican-style dominoes, played solo or in teams. This page explains what the app does — and does not — do with your information. In short: your game data (names, photos, scores) never leaves your device; the network features described below are limited to the specific things you choose to use (music search/playback) and to the ads and purchases that keep the app free.
The app does not require an account and does not collect data to identify you personally. Player names, photos, scores, and game history stay stored only on your device. If you use the optional music search feature, your search terms are sent to YouTube and/or Spotify to fetch results, and the app shows ads through Google AdMob to stay free — both described in detail below, along with the optional one-time purchase that removes ads.
The app saves the following directly on your device, using standard on-device local storage:
None of this is sent to us or to the app developer. Uninstalling the app removes all of it from your device.
If you open the music search feature, whatever you type is sent directly to YouTube's or Spotify's servers to fetch results — nothing else about you or your game is included. Playing a Spotify track requires logging into Spotify directly through Spotify's own login page; the app never sees your Spotify password, only a login token it stores on your device to keep you signed in. This feature is entirely optional and untouched if you never open it.
If you turn on the "Now Playing" feature, the app reads the title, artist, and playback state of whatever media session is currently active on your device (e.g. Spotify, YouTube Music) using an Android system permission you grant and can revoke at any time in Settings. This information is only read to show a mini-player and transport controls inside the app — it is never sent anywhere.
The app shows ads through Google AdMob to stay free to download. AdMob may collect and use identifiers such as your device's advertising ID, general device information, and approximate location to select and measure ads, under Google's own privacy policy. You can view, reset, or opt out of personalized advertising for your device in your Android Settings under Google > Ads.
Purchasing "Remove Ads" (a one-time in-app purchase, described below) stops the app from requesting ads at all.
The optional "Remove Ads" purchase is processed entirely by Google Play — the app never sees or stores your payment details. The app only stores, locally on your device, whether you've made the purchase, so it can hide ads without checking in with Google every time. A "Restore Purchases" option is available if you reinstall the app or switch devices.
Depending on which optional features you use, the app talks to: Google AdMob (advertising), Google Play Billing (purchases), the YouTube Data API (music search), and the Spotify Web API (music search and playback). Each is governed by its own privacy policy, and none of them receive your player names, photos, scores, or game history — that data stays on your device regardless of which of these features you use.
The app may request device permissions for specific features you choose to use: vibration for haptic feedback, photo access if you add a player photo, or notification-listener access if you turn on the Now Playing feature. Each is used only for that feature on your device and none are used to collect or transmit your personal data.
The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Advertising is served through Google AdMob and is not configured to target children.
If this policy ever changes — for example, if a future version of the app adds a feature that sends data off your device — this page will be updated and the date above will reflect that change.
